Agree with this for the most part and it makes senses, but as I posted previously GCN although the family friendly console did not boost more during holidays then its competitors except when it dropped to a $50 right before the holdays to $99 while PS2 and Xbox stayed at $179.99.

GCN was never the market leader

The argument was that it was the cheapest and most family friendly console so thats why it boosted the most.  That was the case with the GCN as well and it didnt perform like claimed.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Well I think being the market leader also plays a role in sales performance, or rather the traits that led to being the market leader plays a role

No, quite wrong. I've said all along that the Wii would take the holiday season but will be in dire straits in 2011. For the record; I also maintained that Move and Kinect would crash and burn, I'm sure a lot of older members can vouch for that. (Turned out to be pretty wrong there though...).

It seems you don't know my post history very well.

Seems spot on from what I remember of you, Wii fans love to choose random members who they see as HD fans and make up stuff "YOU THERE, you said Wii would crash and burn this holiday, HA!" .. "actually I said the opposite"

Actually they did crash and burn, they were intended to snatch away from the Wii, really all they did was short bumps and sold mostly to current owners of the systems, heck the slim versions of the two systems had far more impact than Move or Kinect

"Why is the Wii selling?"

New colors, the cheapest console, bundled games, new third party games like Just Dance, Sonic Colors, and Goldeneye, early holiday shoppers, and the fact that motion controls and a new HD system cost about twice as much.
