Yes I can agree with 99% of the content enclosed within this post!
Making Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3 on PSP is a blunder....its just a huge huge shame they aren't on PS3...I can only imagine what Valkyria Chronicles 2 on PS3 with a medium marketing campaign would've sold {sigh}

I thought Valkyria Chronicles 1 was a good game, not perfect, but still really good. so the 2nd one probabily couldve sold a bit more had it have been on PS3. but the other thing is, why did Sega limit themselves to the PSP and not say the Wii or DS??
the only think i can think is they want to do what Dragon Quest 9 did on the DS for the PSP, but even then there were good numbers in the west to warrant VC2 on the PS3 alone, so it dosent make sense to me.
@ishiki, yeah i also didnt like SO3 much, that pretty much made my decision not to get SO4, but the battle system was good, its just everything else.

Yeah I thought it was good, definetely not perfect.
With the 2nd one we could've seen it expand the franchise even more as the second one didn't rely on characters from the first game for its story.....and it has a very nice story that could appeal to many demographics.
I cannot comprehend the stupidity of SEGA's decision....DS wouldn't be possible but Wii definetely would have been.....its just hard to understand why they did what they did. And Valkyria Chronicles 3 is not going to do that well...when it comes out PSP will be on its last legs.
Valkyria Chronicles had all the potential to be the New IP breakout JRPG franchise this gen......all that potential was destroyed. But its not all over...SEGA can still make VC4 for PS3 and lower the damage thats been done.
I can only think SEGA thought VC2 being on PSP will lead to an explosion of popularity in Japan...but at the cost of Western sales.....just bad decisions really.
JRPG devs need to realize JRPG'S CAN SELL IN THE WEST....just market them please!

Yeah, maybe not the best VA for -native english speakers- but since i am not, i didn't care, just don't give me a JRPG in spanish and i'll be happy. xD
Too bad Magna Carta 2 didn't even sell half this number, i blame the fact of not being released on PS3 ='(

You are a good example of a paradox since you complain about the people "insulting" the game and at the same time creating a poll which includes an insult as a possible answer. Also I don't like the game but still I do not conform your stereotype of the JRPG player you critisize. Having prejudices against people is much worse than insulting a game, isn't it? :)

OT: I think S04 deserves it sales(have both versions) not the best SO(SO3 is top...don't know why it gets so much hate) anyway congrats to Tri-ace, hopefully we'll a Valkyrie Profile 3 this gen!!!
I think it's sad this is only the first as I can think of several others that far more deserving.
