Wii and 360 are both doing amazing considering that both Red Wii and Kinect are only out in 1 region. Red Wii releases in America and Japan next week so I expect a big boost...Kinect is out in Others next week so I expect a big boost for 360 as well. Wii and 360 should both be over 400K next week. I expect PS3 to be at about 370K next week.

Also why does America hate PS3 so much as its only 99K just missing the 100K mark. Also why is everyone saying that PS3 should be #1 the week ending November 27th? That is Black Friday week and clearly PS3 doesn't receive as much love as 360 and Wii in America. I know G.T.5 comes out on the 24th but will it be that big...? I wasn't on this site back in the PS1-PS2 gens so how much did Gran Turismo 1-4 boost PS/PS2 sales?

wii and 360 are doing great although they have Kinect and Red Wii but PS3 which has nothing special out,  sells about the same as them, is somehow not doing great?

Get over yourself, All the consoles are doing well, and 99k during Kinect release is amazing to me.

Did you check the weekly sales last year after black friday? =) PS3 was above x360.

It seems Kinect gave the PS3 a boost this week.

Great numbers and Kinect Domination on the Top 10 America charts is impressive stuff.

But great numbers for all except PSP again...

That's hardly anything. I know most people are going to say that Kinect has only been available for 2-3 days, but most sales take place during the first 2-3 days.

That is completely not true. Sales of many game titles are very front loaded, sure, but that rule isn't true with hardware sales. Kinect's hardware boost will last through the entire holiday season.

Looking back at 2008, when X360 had a real price cut, GTA momentum, COD, a decent run in Japan etc the figures aren't dramatically different yet even with Kinect. I'm still somewhat suspicious that this will be Microsoft's best Dec quarter for hw by a country mile. It looks slightly better, when I run COD / Kinect / BF in my models for Nov / Dec but we're talking 6m in sell through for Oct-Dec 2010 vs. 5.8m in Oct-Dec 2008. USA retailers continue to sell out of Kinect sensors, but no widespread sellouts of hw kinect bundles...which is a good result but its not pushing many systems. Only 1/6 Kinects are pushing hw it seems, the equivalent of a really big game.

X360 sales over the five weeks ending week one of Nov are 1.10m in 2010, and 1.08m in 2008. That includes the Americas Kinect launch in 2010. I'd expect November to be up on 2008 and December too. But by how much remains an open question.

PS3 is also down by 100k over the past five weeks compared to those weeks of 2009. GT5 should reverse that through the end of Nov to neutrel to slightly positive. But whether December is up or down...is an open question. My gut says down but we'll see. Wii is obviously down on last year, as it laps the price cut, but the distance it is down has been shrinking rapidly. Sell through looks good for 9m again vs. 12m last year. For shipments, probably 9m is doable, down from 11.3m last year.

The Holiday season has begun.  Demand for Kinect seems to be picking up this week, I'm expecting a huge black friday run on Kinect.  Also I think Sony is making a very smart move getting GT5 out for Black Friday.  There is never a better time to sell software when literally millions of american consumers are in the store.
