Reach looks as overtracked as Halo 3 looks undertracked.
However both are in the 10% margin of error

I just took first week sales from here. About 2.85 million for whole america as vgchartz tracks also south america and canada. Halo 3 launch week was also exactly last week of september so that 2.85 million figure is for whole september.
"Nintendo, meanwhile, sold 403,000 of its handheld DS systems in the U.S., and 254,000 Wii consoles. Sony would not disclose how many PlayStations it sold during the month."

but even in 2007 the September had 5 weeks for NPD, so it's actually 2 weeks of Halo 3 sales.
USA accounts for 87% of all Halo Reach Americas sales (Americas: 3,994,074; US: 3,474,844)
Assuming the same for Halo 3 we have (Americas: 3,434,016; US: 2,987,594)
10% error for Halo 3 and 5% error for Halo Reach

WHOA!
*Alarm*
Major overtracking. What went wrong?
Though we don't have specific numbers for most games on the list, there are a few things we can note. First off, NPD analyst Anita Frazier did share the impressive Halo Reach sales figure: 3.3 million. Reach, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, and Metroid: Other M, must have done particularly well to make it onto a multi-platform top ten list despite being single-platform titles.
Frazier helpfully noted that if the top 10 were ranked by SKU, New Super Mario Bros. Wii would have cracked the top 10, as usual.

So...
We have the DS at 585k, and the Wii at 316k... Huge differences there.
DS overtracked by almost 200k, and Wii overtracked by about 60k.
Can't wait to see what Sony reveal (If they reveal)

so PS3 > Wii by at least 30k this month ?
And well DS... huge discrepancy (and yes I read The Source's article)
