Um...

Unless I'm mistaken these awards are a joke. Looking at the nominees for game of the year actually makes you cringe. The awards are definitely targeted at males between 14-21 and we all guess what console they're aiming for...

Just the fact that Galaxy wasn't up for game of the year robs this of any credibility, considering it is statistically the 2nd greatest game of all time. Each site has their own GotY awards, and I'm waiting for the actual gaming sites to present theirs... not a show sponsored by Mountain Dew and who knows who else...

Game awards are biased of course and they have every right to be. They are based on the demographics of their readers or viewers. The Nickelodeon game of the year would be much different (dunno if there is one). This is not a government agency, conspiracy, or anything else weird. Its mainly based on their demographics. There is gonna be a million awards given from millions of different game sites, magazines, or other award shows. They will all be primed to their demographics.
