*aligned launch

I just wanted to put the data in one place, I will update it when the datas are available

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

The PS3 also got a price cut though, which is a major factor. And there's also the case of Japan, where the 360 simply can't move any hardware. Still, I was not expecting such huge 360 Slim sales first week in EMEAA even with pre-orders and certainly not bigger than Americas!

360 got beat by the PS3 Slim (fairly, all those external factors even themselves out), but the 360 did fantastically, outstripping expectations.

Best launch perform for SONY console  o/

at Kowenicki wasn't there a clearence week before the launch of the slim?

Your numbers for EMEAA aren't accurate either as the 360s was out in Australia and New Zealand for some time already. You should look up those launch dates and add the numbers accordingly.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

But! 360 S had a better launch than PS3 Slim...

582,815 vs. 376,274 (don't say 'Its only been 2 days for EMEAA'. You think it's going to sell 200K in 3 days in order to make the launch look better?) taking into account opening weeks in all regions

Still, great numbers for the 360 S. Successful launch. What will be more interesting is when it gets back down to normal weekly numbers. Both systems will be $300. Both will have mandatory hard drives and wireless, so the feature count will be the same (minus Blu-Ray obviously). Finally, price parity with just about equal features. NOW we can TRULY see what people want more

Correct

He will need to add some numbers to the EMEAA launch... Aus and NZ.

So 198 071 - 5338 (this week 360 numbers) = 192 733

8261 (nulbers for 3rd july, the launch in Aus and NZ) = 200 994

So the first week in EMEEA is 200 994

Not really.

A 360s arcade will be coming, along with Kinect and Move.

I think it's extremely safe to say though that the 360 is more wanted in the UK and US, wheras worldwide as a whole, the PS3 is more wanted.

In the UK... try to read the whole post next time and not just the parts you want to see...
