There is nothing wrong with hope... except when it clouds reality.  You are looking for excuses because you like the game... plain and simple.

Afterall who wanted to believe that one of the most charismatic loved football players of all time was a stone cold killer?

Also... I didn't change the subject.  my very first post said that digital sales would have to be unprecedented for Peacewalker to not be a bomb... and that is still the conversation.  It's just one you don't like.

To put it another way... false hope.

Ehhh again you're wrong (shocking)

I never ever played MGS: PW nor MGS4 and I stopped playing MGS3 because I was bored by it. So what now?

I don't own a PSP and I don't want one because I don't like handhelds.

Confused? Yes you are.

And your first post was about something I never said. I don't want to discuss on something I never said.

I'm confused why you had "hopes for a good game" and false ones at that... when you consider said games poor... but hey i've seen crazier stuff on this site.

Either way... it's quite simple... the game was a bomb... you want to reserve judgement for some reason when it's clear as day.

You want to have false hope.  So, not wrong... all you do is keep admitting i'm right... yet still pretend i'm wrong.  Quite confusing.

Again you're inventing stuff because you have nothing else to say.

I'm having the exact same reasoning as IGN. Look for yourself:

http://psp.ign.com/articles/110/1106817p1.html

That's what I call a mature reaction, exactly the opposite of what you're doing. But hey, unlike you, I've rarely seen someone like you here who doesn't end up being banned.

It's a mature reaction to assume there are 4 digital sales for every 1 retail sale?   It's false hope pure and simple.  Digital sales are "undefined" but they aren't completely undefined... we know more then enough to know that digital sales aren't = to retail sales.

It's nothing but blind, false hope... and one of the reasons Sony likely DOESN'T release download numbers.

Like I said, I also believe digital sales are lower than retail sales but then again that's only what I believe, not what's real.

Anyway, I think it's better to hope for a good game to sell well than hoping for it to fail.

And there's no such things as false hopes.

And I think it's best to look at things realistically... with reality in mind.

Also... uh, yeah there is such a thing as False hope... It's called basing hope soley around fantasy or an extremely unlikely outcome.

You know... like that Digital Download sales were greater then retail sales.

According to NPD analyst Anita Frazier, who presented at this week's DICE Summit in Las Vegas, some 75 percent of game players say they prefer a boxed product, and 58 percent had never downloaded a game.

But out of those who have downloaded a game, 77 percent said it was just as good as a retail box.

Also, 65 percent of surveyed game players said they would be more likely to purchase a digital product if it were 10 percent less than retail.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

What? You're the one who said that. You're a joke.

The thing is, you're the one (again) who talked about hope. I'm starting to think you don't even know what's hope. *is waiting for another very enlightening definition from wikipedia*

I'm also looking at things realistically when I say we don't know PSN sales (and that's all I've been saying since the beginning). I've never said whether they were higher or lower. But you're the one talking through one's hat about the numbers and inventing stuff about things I never said. You're such a good debater.

Are those 50K for MGSPeace Walker for it's 4 first weeks of sales?
(and please don't tell me VGC has it at 150K in the same time span?)

If so then this is the bomb of the year. Absolutely dismal sales and if the PSP wasn't proclaimed dead before then it sure must be now.

Yes, those sales are for the 4 weeks MGS: PW was available in the US and VGChartz include all of America and bundles in the number

Your saying that you can't judge because you don't know the digital distribution numbers.

Said numbers HAD to be higher for it to not be a bomb.

It's as simple as that.  So you'd have to sumbit to the idea that said sales were greater to disavow the bomb comment.

It's no different then saying "Since we didn't see OJ stab her we can't judge!"

The chances of the opposite are far too unlikely.

Boutros lol stop that spin and damage control. 50K is a disaster and another 10 or 20K of digital sales won't make a difference.

Still, that's not what I intended to say. It might be what you understood but I still never said it and I didn't mean that.

It's easy to say that the game bombed now that we have the NPD numbers but I originally didn't knew they were so low. Vgchartz is at 177k and that's not what I call a bomb, hence why I replied to jarrod at first.

What I'm saying now is that we don't know the PSN sales.
