Why 25% of Xbox 360 owners should buy Kinect? Is there a game (or more) which will move 9 million people to spend 150$? Wii Motion Plus without Wii Sports Resort probably wouldn't have sold 20m by now, and that is a bit over 25% of Wii owners. Plus we all know many Xbox sales are because of RRoD problems, so probably moving 5 million units to already existing customers would be already enough with the line up Kinect looks to have (party games, sports games, fitness games, few racing games).

There are 15 games az launch. Niot one game will sell hardware, a library of games will.
And the bolded part is just trolling.

It's more of if current 360 owners, if they wanted casual, then they probably have a Wii and if they don't then I think they fit in with the majority of 360 owners. I'm with Buzzi, I just don't see that many current owners to go out and purchase Kinect until they get something that fits with what sells ass loads on the 360. And I haven't seen that yet.
If I had the money, I would have a 360 right now, and I would have the handful of games that i want for the system. But when Kinect is released, i wouldnt be buying it until they show me a game that I want. There might be more people that agree with me. I'm sure at least 1 person shares my opinion.
And I honestly don't think he is trolling. In my opinion, it's true. The original 360 had a very high failure rate and many people have purchased multiple consoles. That rate has dropped over the years with new models but I'm sure the extra purchases still continued as well. However, we will never know how many exactly. If it's a few hundred, thousand or millions upon millions. The same thing goes for the PS3 and YLOD. Hell I just had the YLOD finally happen to me last month (60GB first day purchase) and if I had the money I would have bought a PS3 slim but I don't, so I fixed it myself and got my fan running at full blast 100% of the time.
I've been drinking a bit and I don't want to ramble on too long. So all I can say is that I don't see Kinect pushing that many current owners. I can see it a bit more for Move but thats just because they are going to have it ready for some current games and even sequels to existing games. None of that really matters to me. I'm only going to purchase Move for MLB11: The Show, and if Kinect shows me a great baseball game that I can do the same with, I'll probably have to go for that too (but far after I get a 360 and catch up on the great games that I'm missing out on, that I wish were coming to PC).
