If they didn't spend so much time porting shit to Nintendo DS/Xbox 360/Other systems and just got all their development teams to work on FFVII remake, it would take two years, tops.
There's no way it would take that long to remake anyways, and didn't they first say it would take 10 years? They're just throwing numbers around and have no idea how long it would.
Such bull crap. Final Fantasy VII has no more depth than their current projects and they wouldn't exactly be creating it from the ground up.

I think that they will remake Final Fantasy VII, most likely for the 3DS. Following the success of FF III and IV DS, I think Matrix will work on V, then VI, then possibly VII.
There is no way a 3DS game would take 30 years to make
BS... IMO it could be done in a couple of years, and it will be made sooner or later. Why? Well SE needs money, and lets be honest their new IPs are not selling as well as FF or DQ

Seriously, they're just giving excuses. No game ever takes that long. From a development or coding side. Especially a remake where they've already got 3/4 the development made.
But if they want to continue to make this excuse that iwould take 30 years, go ahead. We don't need more Final Fantasy remakes as it is.
