Forums - Gaming Discussion - Square Enix talks FFVII remake, take 30yrs to develop

LOL 30 years.

Around the Network

I think we get it square enix trashed the original assets and planning, and don't think they are worthy to start from scratch. Lets face it they just don't want to make it. any b grade developer could do it in 3 years if they used existing tools and engine and didn't make many changes to the original game design.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

what the fuck are these people talking about...
this "joke" was old last gen.
Either do it or stfu.
ff7 posts, chats, and pics hog more bandwidth than 1% of all internet porn. That like a 1000% of normal internet.

Fuckin ediots

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

So this will be one of the first games for PS8, I think.

Lol, why are they even talking about making a Final Fantasy VII remake? Yes it was amazing during the time, and still is. Though perhaps they should focus on making a great new game instead of redoing an old one.

They are digging a hole with all this talk of FF VII  .

*sigh* another FF7 remake thread -_-

There's something I find very wrong about this whole talk about a FFVII remake. On one hand we have the fans who are clearly calling out for a remake of what seems to be the most popular game in the series, and on the other hand we have developers telling us it's going to take X long to make said game due to budget, required resources etc.

Isn't that the developers essentially admitting that gamers are getting less game these days due to the time required for development of graphical resources etc, yet fans seem to favour the older games with simpler graphics but more game. I'm not suggesting that FF should go back to Playstation level graphics but I think Square needs to look at why there seems to be such huge demand for a remake of a 12-13year old game.

Looks at Final Fantasy XIV *blinks*

*Big Towns - check!
*Many NPC's - check!
*In game Video and Voice work - check!

Then again FFXIV is a WRPG and not JPRG
