There's something I find very wrong about this whole talk about a FFVII remake. On one hand we have the fans who are clearly calling out for a remake of what seems to be the most popular game in the series, and on the other hand we have developers telling us it's going to take X long to make said game due to budget, required resources etc.
Isn't that the developers essentially admitting that gamers are getting less game these days due to the time required for development of graphical resources etc, yet fans seem to favour the older games with simpler graphics but more game. I'm not suggesting that FF should go back to Playstation level graphics but I think Square needs to look at why there seems to be such huge demand for a remake of a 12-13year old game.
