Super Mario Paradox ! Bowser somehow leaves the Mushroom Kingdom, however he does not inform this to his inferiors. Bowser Jr. is the heir to throne so is commissioned as the new leader of the Koopa army. A new antagonist emerges following the events of Bowser's disappearance. He is a Shadow like creature known as Marnight. Mario discovers a Wormhole within the Mushroom Kingdom, Marnight eventually becomes aware of this and transfers the Mushroom Kingdom to his place of origin: Blaycross.

Time travel with the ability to manipulate time (in that Mario way that makes you feel like you have never really done it in any other game.
