Forums - Gaming - To Wii owners: Why haven't you bought an HD console yet?

Simple.

Neither HD console has enough interesting (exclusive) games to warrant a purchase.

I have all three but not even PS3 or 360 first, second or third company title comes even close to Nintendo's first.

"IMO"

I expected better! You know that each of these statements implies "in my opinion" simply by statement because they are opinion, and asking someone to repeat tis fact is somewhere between redundant and pedantic.

On topic:

I did, actually. I'm not sure it was the right decision to make, though - but not because te games don interest me or anything, I love HD games.

In general is basically not enough time, not much money, tvs, and the games don't appeal to their crowd. This is just a generalization, keep posting your thoughts about this, though...

Because I just don't have enough time to play all my Wii and DS games.

I have a lot of gaming left to do on my Wii, I still play Monster Hunter 3 and I'm going to get Super Mario Galaxy 2 next week. If I were to get a HD console I would definitely get a PS3 over a 360. I also like to pay less for my games.

Don't see the point. There are over 30 projects set to come on Wii/WiiWare just going by wishlist that I'd like to buy. Will take me three to five years to play everything already announced given my backlog stands at 4 unopened Wii games and a Monster Hunter 3 demo. There are 10 or so downloadable indie projects on PS3 and X360 that look fun, but only four-five retail games on each system that I really would purchase.

I don't really watch TV either so I have no intention of buying an HDTV unless my SDTV breaks (which is unlikely since its fairly new and I only use it for Wii essentially). All I watch regularly is The Simpsons and MLB games - mostly on www.wtso.net and through the MLB site. Beyond that, I have alot to do.

Between Wii & DS I have eight unopened games sitting in a box. Generally, I get through eight retail games a year plus a couple indie titles, so there is pretty much no chance of me running out games to play for at least a full year, ergo, no need for a new system. I only buy new systems when I run out of games to play on what I own.

This is completely off topic but I miss your old avatar with the white bearded asian dude.

Bolded: Yeah, you do kind of have a job man xD

Wait hold the phone, so money is really the biggest issue

So the majority of the Wii owners want a HD console but can't afford it?

Is that really the case? I demand a recount.

Sorry Rol, no one is going to count all those posts.

At least in my case, cost has something to do with it but is more about perceived value to me. I would not get enough enjoyment out of the PS3 for it to be worth $300 to me. If the Wii was $300 and I didn't have one yet, I would have no problem getting it. So that is why I will wait for (several) price drops on the PS3 before getting one. So is somewhat about money, but not necessarily in the not being able to afford it sense.
