Forums - Sales Discussion - PSP will sell more tha GBA in japan ltd ???

How about software? How much games has each platform sold? Any chance PSP will outsell GBA's SW totals?

*Edit, nevermind, I didn't read the whole thread, seems like no chance in hell of that ever happening.

PSP will outsell every nintendo product except DS,Wii, and Original GameBoy

In Japan?  It'll definitely outsell Wii, maybe GBA, possibly SFC if there no PSP2 in the next year, but probably not FC.  GB & DS are untouchable, no PlayStation system will ever come close to either.

Worldwide, it won't match GBA, or anything higher (GB, DS, Wii).

PSP will easly top GBA if sony cuts the price and keeps it on market for a while

Doubt it.  It just doesn't move enough units ww anymore.  Besides, we'll probably have PSP2 launch this year.

PSP should sell 65 million units by the end of the year with the price cut. And lets say its gonna stay on the market for 3 more years and sells 5 million per year, its gonna outsell GBA

why the hell woudl they announce a new GOD OF WAR game if PSP "2" comes out this year..

Actually, GOW being announced now makes a PSP2 E3 announcement all the more likely imo.

I also don't think they'll want 3DS getting a headstart.  They can't afford to give Nintendo any competitive advantage early on.

3 more years after the end of 2010?!  It definitely won't be on market that long. Honestly, in 4 years time I doubt there's any PSP1 models even on shelves anywhere.  And the platform's going to be "wound down" long before that.... it'll probably finish up around 70m imo, and be off shelves by mid 2012.

I find it amusing that a handheld selling between 60 and 70 million units is seen as a failure for the most part.

Sony's products usually last on market for 10 years, i dont see why would PSP last any shorter

Sony's only products that have lasted 10 years on shelves have been 100m+ selling hardware that absolutely dominated the market and sold billions of software units.  Frankly, I don't see how PSP qualifies.
