why does everyone refer to better things as being "X on roids" when we treat our steroidal athletes very poorly?

hahah selnor: Dante's Inferno is GoW on steroids!!!!

Look how that turned out. I guess this new IP is gonna suck, right?

Wow I can;t believe something like this finally happened.

I really wonder what the sales potential of this game could be since it'll be multiplat.

Maybe Activision want a COD Killer lol

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Let's just hope Activision isn't even vaguely tempted to treat Bungie as it's doing with IW, though...

Bungie is still independent and owns this new IP, whatever it is, so it doesn't seem like Activision is in any position to do such a thing to them.

Yes, right after writing I was starting realizing the difference. Thank God.

So let's just hope the new hero isn't another Village People lost member like Master Chief, then!

Speak for yourself!

Well we finally get to see if Bungie is a one trick pony or not, because i think they are, Halo Combat Evolved is still there best game imo.

Wow... there really seem to be PS fanboys who are jumping up and down out of joy, perhaps even with tears of joy... judging from the comments that is. No game has been announced, they are just happy because one faceless company took a blow and another one gained some ground from that blow. The last time I saw this much idiocy was when FF went multiplatform. It is a bit suprising seeing how we all knew this was comming, not the Activision part bit the multiplatform part. Bungie and Microsoft ended their close relationship a few years back when they announced ODST would be their last game together. Then they repeated that same statement with Reach but we all knew this would eventually happen.

News like this doesnt really do anything to me but the fanboy responses do irritate me. It would be great if one day Sony and Microsoft announce they are going to make their next console as a joint venture because their marketshare is too low to make a profitable HD console on their own. Would these fanboys suddenly work together to play the same love/hate game? Or would they actually protest? Because I dont get their facination with these companies. Do they really think one is fantastic and the other one stinks? Or is it that they just have to be a part of something and it doesnt matter what.

activision are greedy basterds, i hope infinity ward win the appeal. all they do is milk franchises, 3 cods in 2 years? i'm sure none of them will have any quality.

and also what does blizzard have to do in this? will that game be an mmo?

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

LOL Sony is desperate for a Halo Killer.

how are sony desperate for a halo killer? they already have two series which are better then halo quality wise. do you even know what they mean by" halo on sterioids"?

Halo is a very unique FPS that offers what Killzone 2 and Resistance could never offer. In fact, its the only FPS i care to play these days. It has that it factor. Halo Reach will end the relevance between people even putting Resistance and KZ in its league. Don't get me wrong, I liked KZ2 (can't say the same for Resistance), but it isn't Halo and Reach is looking to be ten times better than it was before.

You n00b Haze destorys every FPS game ever existed, it offers more than whatever Halo offers + being better, and wtf is Halo ? even the name is a rip off of Haze, damn wannabes.

@bolded - You and every other Sony guy thinks this, but the sales don't, and contrary to what you may think, the sales are what Sony cares about. That is what STAGE is referring to. Killing Halo's sales by being MORE popular.

Quality doesn't equal sales though.

Gran Turismo games have better average sales than Halo games.

STAGE's original comment is the problem: "LOL" and "desperate" is trolling.  I'll counterspin and say he's in damage control mode.  Isn't vgchartz fun.

I'm not trolling. If i was trolling, you would KNOW it. You are just being extremely sensitive much like others who have had me banned where I wouldn't get banned elsewhere. This is the only site I get banned on. I am not in damage control mode, because if Bungie makes a Halo- Killer i'll buy it. Sony stepping in and making comments just lets you know that they are happy Bungie is done with Halo and welcome them to the multiplatform circuit, much like Greenburg welcomed Kojima's multiplatform Metal Gear at last years E3 which Kojima wont even be apart of. Sony is lucky Bungie is going multiplatform because if Activision wasn't going to buy them, they would.

I'd suggest reconsidering your posting WITHOUT slinging insults.

If you are stating Halo isn't quality, then lets just say quality is subjective to you and for others its multiplayer is 10 million+ strong.
