Forums - Sales - Splinter Cell FW = 526k, Heavy Rain FW = 526k... :O

They say an angel gets its wings when a new innovative I.P outsells an established series :)

it's a statistical tie!

(i always wanted to say that )

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Just shows how fantastic Heavy Rain Sales really are.

Conviction has done well too though.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

That number looks more impressive on heavy rain, I don't know why.

As I have said since close to 1 year :

MS have OVERhyped Natal and Reach because it matters the most for them
The consequence is that all the others games have been UNDERhyped ...

FM3 suffered from it, trust me. Same may happen with the others games released until Natal/Reach.

Sure, SC gameplay has been "casualised" but the hype for the game was so low ...

New console exclusive IP beats reknown franchise. I guess Conviction was the last nail in the coffin.

@libellule

I think it's kinda weird to see a shooter on X360 without Competitive multiplayer. I guess the 360 users are too inmersed into BC2 and (still) MW2 to pay attention to anything else.

Good for heavy rain as both titles sold well.

Is anyone suggesting SC would sell better on another platform? This is the first SC game that is exclusive to xbox btw...all the previous ones made it to Sony platforms.

no and SC only had 2 days in EU

What was it expected to sell? How many did the previous titles sell first week?
