Forums - Gaming - DO NOT Trust Magazine's Review Scores

I stopped caring what Famitsu said about games after they gave Red Steel 1 a 34/40.

It's funny because it's true!

I don't find this story to be convincing at all.

Meh, I've been saying for quite a while to not put a lot of stock in Famitsu scores.

If a game is highly anticipated they'll give a courtesy score of 9/9/9/10 no matter how good/bad it is.

Looking at their list of perfect scores, I wouldn't use them as a source anyway.

Yay, my opinion has been made into an editorial!

Congratulations on not providing any info on why Kotaku is not a credible site..

Wordplays Definition: Publisher of Mag, has Mag give game a perfect 40/40, then Publisher joins game's ad campaign?.. who knew..

The name thing seems to be a Pun in light of the article..

Can you please share some links to show how Kotaku is up MS's butt? from what I have read of Kotaku, Gizmodo, lifehacker, they seems to love Apple..

Yes, theres allot you missed.

Well, he was part of the ad campaign before the review was leaked. I even believe someone said on these forums to not be surprised if Peace Walker got a 40.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

What will everybody complaining be doing if this game ends up with like a 97 on Metacritic?

Wondering when "fun factor" stopped meaning anything in gaming.
