Does Modern Warfare 2 deserve the sales that it has, compared to a game like Bad Company 2?

If BC2 sold 20 million and MW2 sold 3 million would that be better?

Neither of them deserves more than a few million, but yes, BC2 should sell more than MW2.

BFBC2 deserves it more so than MW2.

BF is the more impressive game, ive sold MW2 after beating vet no reason to go back, multiplayer was naff care package poilt it aswell as to many campers

The idea that a game "deserves" sales is silly.

Both bring fantastic gameplay and fun experiences. Both have pros and cons. Modern Warfare 2, however, comes from a much bigger franchise and got far more marketing (although EA seems to have no problem marketing BC2). That's why it sold more. Games don't deserve to sell more. I could complain that Okami sold a lot less than Game Party, but it's fairly obvious why it did, and I won't get hung up about it.

Bad Company 2 deserves way more.

In the end theres no point in thinking in this way.

I'm sure EA would like that. Activision, not so much.

Why so much hate for MW2?
I play the damn game every week and I like it.
Hardcore search and destroy >>> BFBC 2 any day.
