Wow, talk about potentially ruining the greatness of Metroid. I mean the open world is what makes it Metroid. If this game is super linear, I'm gonna be pissed.

Apologies, but, why the fucking fuck would they even think about something like that? This actually makes me worried about the final product of Other M. I'm scared to know the possible rubbish that they could sneak into the came in an attempt to 'breathe life'.

No, it wasn't. I wish TN managed to push him on the nunchuk, not the 3D-2d thing. A stick for movement, IR for aiming 2D Metroid would have been enough for me to put up with Samus' emo-schizoid musings. Or at least buy the game and skip them.

I'm thinking the same thing. Guess 2D is too ordinary for TN's tastes.

I am not a fan of Metroid and only own and played Metroid Prime 3 Corruption and thought that it was hard(not a bad thing but not good either) and it just wasn't my type of game. I have always been interested in the Metroid franchise because of the story lines but could never get into the gameplay and I am a fan of Rail games.

Again like always Metroid Other M looks interesting and cool but I don't want to buy it because I know that I won't like it much but will be interested in the story line. I may still get Other M but their is only like a 15% chance of me buying it.

Honestly if M.O.M was an on rails game their would probably be about a 80% chance of me buying it. I am happy its not though because I know that MANY Metroid fans would be mad and I would never want Nintendo to make Pikmin 3 an on rails game!
