Well most of the ads on this site gives trojan warnings and some wants me to buy really obscure tings that's not suitable for a younger audience.

Most of the ads give trojan warnings? Now that is just an outright lie. No one would use this site if that was the case

During the start up of these ads i got several alerts, since then ive turned on ad-blocking at home.

And yeah, i forgot, this is the interwebs and if someone disagrees im either trolling or lying. Disregard my statement then and act as if i dont know what im talking about. Carry on.

Yeah, its true that websites need sponsership, don't worry, I don't have an ad-blocker.

                                       That's Gordon Freeman in "Real-Life"

The problems with ads not only on this site but almost all the sites on the net is that they have become annoying and obtrusive. People don't mind the banner and text ads. But when it gets into the pop over, under and up ads, the talking ads, flash ads, malware ridden ads and the annoying pop-up keyword ads peolple are going to block them. I do think ad blockers are a good thing because maybe it will cause the ad companies to change the way the advertise.

ps i don't use an ad blocker. when i get and annoying ad i block the entire domain in the hosts file. that way im not blocking all ads. just the ones from annoying companies.

Its not the ad blocking thats the problem, its your ad policy. If you actually had ads that promoted game related products, like Qpad or Razor etc. One probably wouldnt mind. But your site wants me to purchase fake diet pills and offers me sexy underwear. Thats whats wrong with your ads! Seriously! Stop crying over loss income just because your "customers" dosent wan't to be fed with obscure products.

IGN even has a "learn how to disable this ad" feature.

Also... on the subject of analogys, Gordon Ramsey's F Word says hello.

This seriously pissed me off!

Complaining that people dont 'buy' their product when there's no demand for the product. Like a Tv station going on record whining about people switching channels when there's a commercial break. This is just amazing. Horrible business management!

At the moment I see 3 sexy Final Fantasy XIII and one Firefox ad on the main page.

Awesomeness

I got some fatty in a before and after picture right now. Earlier someone told me i was the 10.000 visitor or some shit and wanted me to click on his add to collect my money. The ads have become better, but sometime thers some really "hey, click on me and get computer herpes"-ads.

ioi, I see what you are saying, but without adblock it is almost impossible to view this site. My internet is one step above non-existent. I tried to turn it off while reading this thread, and a "Zeke and Luthor" commercial came on. My internet couldn't take it, and prevented me from loading the rest of the page.

Edit: To prove how bad my internet is I gave Axumblade the link when I was halfway through the thread :-/
