Being the defending champion means very little in a competition where no team has won twice in a row in nearly 50 years. So unless your polls are better, don't complain. Oh wait, you don't make polls.

I want England to win it, but I think Spain will.

I REALLY hope an African team will win this time and I will be surprised if none of the African teams makes it to the semi finals. Go, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Algeria!

Top favourites by usual WC standards though: Spain, Brazil...Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Argentina.

You could have just made the poll with the Fifa rankings, would have made the most sense. I voted for others but that's just because I hope the Netherlands win. Everybody in the top 10 has a change to win anyway, although I think the 2 best now are Spain and the Netherlands.

So you think that England (Who won the World Cup in 1966) and Spain (Who actually never even reached the finals) have a better chance at winning this years World Cup than Italy (Who were in the finals 6 times and won 4 of those AND is the defending champion)? Seriously, you tell Hephaestos to shut up, but come on...Italy should've been up there.

I can imagine that you chose Spain, though, since they won the European Championship in 2008. So, the main complain i have with this list is England. Without a doubt Italy should've been up there instead of England. Hell, even France deserves a spot on that list more than England does. France reached the finals 2 times in the last 3 World Cups and they even won in 1998.

Of course, nobody knows who will win the World Cup this year, but 4 countries should ALWAYS be on lists like this: Brazil, Italy, Argentina and Germany. You got 3 of them right, but you missed a VERY important one...
