People in glass houses...

the most hacked system ever :p.

though in japan ;).

There's just as much DS and Wii piracy as PSP piracy, if not more.  I'm tired of this excuse...

In Japan, it's basically a Monster Hunter box.  Wow.

KH box, and FF box, recent games in japan performing  decently.

KH kinda stalled short.  Considering everything that went into it, it really should've cleared a million.  It would have on PS2...

What FF are you talking about?  Everything FF that wasn't FFXIII tanked recently (Gaiden on DS, Crystal Bearers on Wii, Dissidia Universal Tuning on PSP).

Crisis core sold over 2 millions, birth by sleep it's a spin off, no one believed it was going to sell 5 million like kh.

Crisis Core sold 800k in Japan, like BBS.  And actually it's another game that should've cleared a million, and likely would have had it been a PS2 game.

BBS isn't a spinoff btw.  It's not a numbered sequel, but it's not a spinoff either, it's really a fully fledged KH game in terms of budget, narrative, scope and promotion.  I'd consider it similar to something like Code: Veronica or Majora's Mask.  MGS Peace Walker's in the same boat too actually.

man both portable games were treated as full KH games, birth by sleep and 358/2, this was said alot interviews,

birth by sleep managed to sell more? graphics? gameplay(the same).

ds got almost double the install base of PSP in japan . 352/8 its prequel to kh2.

yet birth by sleep double it first week.

@ Arius

Why? There is no proof that the Wii would sell good third party software. Hell Monster hunter struggled to sell a million and when it did its sales dropped like a rock. Just like when MadWorld came out most Wii fans after the first week or two say " its going to have legs" It didn't make the top 50 and fell off the grid. So name me good third party software that proves the Wii can sell it.

Japanese game sales are nearly always more front loaded than in other regions, it's not a reflection on the game or the system, rather the industry there.  Besides, MH3 name me a few other console games that sold a million in Japan this generation.

We're going to put more engineers on it and figure out to maximize the Blu-ray

Are we sure some fanboy didn't write this bullshit?

In case anyone was wondering what the total software numbers are:

Wii - 448.05 million units

PS3 - 221.08 million units

PSP is more of a MH box than DS is a Pokemon box in Japan. And that's something, since Pokemon is strongest franchise on platform and biggest gaming franchise in Japan. MH with only three instalments responsible for >11% of total PSP SW sales, while Pokemon share in DS SW sales is smaller (according to VGC sales data on MH and Pokemon).

Actually I read further into this and it looks like Sony are conducting a BS assault... Between this and the other piece about Microsoft it really means that they are naturally arrogant and it was only the recent ass kicking that shut their traps.

Come on Microsoft/Nintendo/Apple/Other. Kick their asses again and shut them up.

lol, no.  352/2 days uses 100% recycled worlds, a mission based structure with multiplayer focus, and was outsourced to the studio who makes Chocobo Dungeon/Card games for Square.  It was exactly what you'd call a spinoff, and had an R&D cycle that was about half what BBS got (indeed it was even started after BBS was well into development, yet released half a year earlier).  The working title for BBS was "Kingdom Hearts Zero", it was made internally and not outsourced, it's a full traditional single player ARPG, it's loaded with new worlds, it's basically a full fledged Kingdom Hearts and had substantially more advertising, coverage and promotion in Japan. The 3 handheld games (don't forget Coded) were unveiled together, but don't think for second that means these productions have ever been on any sort of equal footing...

Besides, 358/2d will sell insanely well in the west.  It already has really, it's going to cruise by COM.

edit: Here I'll continue the franchise comparisons, maybe it'll help you grasp it better.

Birth By Sleep = Code: Veronica = Majora's Mask = Peace Walker

358 / 2 days = Outbreak = Four Swords Adventures = Portable Ops
