Forums - Sales - $1,399 for a USED PS5 Pro

GameStop is now charging $1,399.99 for a used digital PS5 Pro. If you want one with a disc drive, that's $1,499.99. Sony's price for a brand new one is $899.99.

New is $899.99 but "Not Available," so the cheapest way to buy a PS5 Pro is from a store that doesn't have one.

Sony, GameStop and Target are all sold out at $899.99. Walmart has bundles at $1,564 to $1,674, which is a lot of money for a controller charger.

GTA 6 drops November 19, and apparently everyone needs a Pro for it. At this rate the PS6 launches with a financing plan.

Around the Network

Companies getting into scalping, gross.
To think that $599 for a PS3 was once considered outrageous and unacceptable, now we have used consoles selling for more than twice that.

All this for GTA VI. Not just GTA VI, but a ton of it is.
Only a small amount ol PS5 games don't go above 30 FPS, but GTA VI could be one of them. I do think it will be wild if they cap it at 30 FPS on PS5 Pro.

But… why? Is Sony just not able to pump out enough systems to keep up with demand? We never saw these pricing practices with, for instance, Switch 2 despite selling like mad in its launch month. I’d imagine retailers wouldn’t be jacking up the prices so high if they had sufficient inventory— they have a preferable to sell whatever stock they have.

They probably just saw scalpers on ebay flipping their PS5 Pros for inflated prices and thought "wow, we gotta get in on that action".

It's just greed.
