Forums - Gaming - Favorite Bad/Mid Games

What are some games that you fully acknowledge are deeply flawed and aren't for everyone but you love/play to death anyway?

I don't really play most of the famous 'so bad they're good' games, but I do have some niche interests where the games that scratch the itch best are still pretty mixed bags. One such example is an indie game called Parcel Corps. It has mixed reviews on Steam and it's a bit thin and repetitive, but the mix of Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, and BMX inspirations is still pretty fun and probably my most played game on two wheels at this point.

Hbu?

Around the Network

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers has all the depth of a puddle and is incredibly stupid, but it's also mindless fun.

Hollow.

Ghost ship in space survival/horror FPS. Very predictable but good atmosphere (mostly).

Outward

It has 67 on Meta, yet it sold more than 3M copies due to being fairly unique in what it does - exploration RPG that has survival/crafting mechanics, but only just so that it supports that focus on exploration, mixed with faction politics and somewhat Souls alike combat (though more punishing, since every exertion or lose of health is reducing your maximum stamina/health).

How much you carry is actually hindering your movement and efficiency, so dropping your backpack in combat is essential (which is risk cause it can be stolen by enemy). Map is there, but you have no idea where you are (no indicator), so you really need to pay attention to world and learn it.

When you "die" you wake up...somewhere, depending on who beat you, few days have passed (might be very important for some quests), and ususally without your backpack.

Did I mentioned local split screen coop?

Sure, it has lot of jank, and if I didn't know better, I would say it's definitely European made game (it's not, it's Quebec made), with lot of ambition, small team and somewhat questionable execution, but I guess that ambition and disregard for industry trends is exactly what made it so appealing to a lot of people, myself included,
