I was watching SGF on MaximillianDood stream and I'm not kidding that the guy literally got a call from Hamaguchi himself, the game director, asking if he would be OK if he could join his stream in about 3 hours, the guy stepped out of the stage and called him while we were watching his stream.
The guy almost lost it, he was already so happy with the reveal and he came back from the call speechless.
Looks brilliant, I can't wait... The honest truth though is half of my excitement is just eagerness for this trilogy to be over so we can collectively move on.
The characters have evolved and greatly fleshed out but the story has been butchered. The combat is one of the best systems the franchise has offered but the last 2 games have been weighed down a bit by filler.
Ultimately I think this trilogy has done more damage to the franchise and stopped it from moving on to new fans and new worlds and I kinda just wanna say bye to cloud and get on with FF17/18.

Hopefully the complete pack reignites the fire in its sales, it will for sure be one of the best deals in gaming

Simultaneous release is great news; no reason for any timed exclusivity nonsense any more.
I enjoyed Remake and am enjoying Rebirth so far, so I will most likely pick this up as well.
I wonder if this will be the last noteworthy UE4 game. Sticking to their modified version of that for the last part is surely a notable reason it's coming out just a bit over three years after part 2.

The Stellar Blade sequel might also be UE4? It looks like the same engine as the first one, at least.

Perhaps though it looks like quite a bit of a step up over the first one to me.
It looks amazing and I am sure they will make it perfect, because there is almost no game out there with so much love in it from the people creating it. When the director says he already played the game over 40 times while other companies publish AAA games that are only halfway finished, it says a lot about how much they care about it. Yes, there is always something to complain about, even in the OG or in Rebirth (even more in Remake). For me it was the watergraphic, no day-night-shift, some loooong boring levels again, the open world felt sterile for me, and the platinum (I made it, muharhar!) was soooo hard. Damn! But the package is unique since there is no game that makes me laugh, cry, laugh, fight, cry, fight, wonder... I tried to play all major games on all platforms (starting with the C64) since the 80s, but FF7 is my favourite. And I am not the only one that feels this way.
The only thing that even can go wrong is if the story gets mixed up und we will have too much kingdom-hearts dialogue. So far I am happy how they spiced up the original story.
People talk a lot about GTA 6 these days and Square wont invest 2-3 billion dollars in FF7Revelation, but its already more than a decade in the making and will focus on some aspects to make them perfect, while GTA 6 will probably be a massive alrounder. You will have almost unlimited Radio Stations in GTA6, but thats still no comparison to the FF7 soundtrack. You will have a pretty good and entertaining crime story in GTA 6, but that also no comparison to the 2000 year journey since Jenova hit the planet.
So I am sure this will be a peak in gaming overall. And I hope they will make a fully playable one-game-version and put those 3 parts together, maybe for PS6.
Man, cant wait to start...
