The remake of Starfox 64 arrives next month; the series hasn't seen a new entry in over a decade, and hasn't really been highly popular since the 90s, where it's best selling entry sold around 4 million.

On the other hand, it's a game with a huge amount of nostalgia and love attached to it from Nintendo players who grew up in the 90s, and at $50 it's more affordable than a lot of other first party games.

What do you think it's sales potential is, and why?

It should be above 1 million for sure. Would be nice if it can get to 3.4 or higher. But not sure it will. Let's hope that the reviews are really good.

I think 1-2M is reasonable. Might be more, but its hard to tell right now. How many of the people disappointed that its a remake will buy it or not? How many of the people who dont like the look of the characters will buy it or not? How many of the people who thinks its a bit overpriced will buy it or not? Just several variables one have to consider.

I went under a million, random guess, but doesn't strike me a big series for Nintendo, not when it has been dead for a long time and is a Remake. And it was last minute announcement, not a lot of build-up. Dread only sold 3 million.

2-3 million. Closer to 2 million, than to 3 million.

First of it launches in June, so it has 3/4 year to sell till we get the latest update for it till March 2027. I don't think it will continue to sell 1 million plus beyond to have any more updates after that.

It's a lower priced game. The original sold over 4 million games on the N64. I think there will be enough nostalgia here, plus some newbies to push it beyond 2 million in the first year.

Don't forget that Fox McCloud appeared in the Mario Galaxy movie. Millions of people saw him in the film and may have gotten curious to see what's the deal with this fox character and why he is so badass
