So another year has passed. How much have you spent for games (software) in 2025? (poll)

And how much have you spent on gaming hardware in 2025?

Here are the similar theads of the last years:

I haven't kept track of all of it, but on my Switch 2 alone I tallied about $1900 AUD for the console, games, and accessories.

Adding in games for other systems, probably about $2300.

I'm a retro gamer, so I don't even want to think about it. If I did, I might quit out of disgust lol

My costs for games + gaming subs have gone down another 300 € since last year, I'm now back at ~100 Euros per month.

Another year without PS+ and GamePass subscriptions, but bought 1 year Nintendo Online for 20 bucks when I got my Switch 2.

I bought almost no games for PlayStation, Xbox, iPad or Android in 2025.

My games which costed €10 or more:

€55 - Donkey Kong Bananza  (Switch 2)
€42 - Metroid Prime 4  (Switch 2)
€40 - Mario Kart World  (Switch 2)
€37 - Donkey Kong Country Returns HD  (Switch 1)
€37 - Super Mario Bros. Wonder  (Switch 1)
€37 - The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom  (Switch 1)
€35 - Bayonetta 3  (Switch 1)
€33 - Kirby und das vergessene Land  (Switch 1)
€32 - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
€26 - Super Mario Galaxy 1  (Switch 2)
€26 - Super Mario Galaxy 2  (Switch 2)
€25 - The Last of Us - Part 1 (PC)
€25 - Life is Strange 4: Double Exposure (PC)
€20 - Kirby und das vergessene Land (Switch 2 upgrade)
€18 - Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - Ultimate Edition  (PC, Raytracing)
€16 - Rosewater  (PC)
€15 - FAST Fusion  (Switch 2)
€14 - Assassin's Creed: Mirage - Deluxe Edition  (PC)
€14 - Horizon: Call of the Mountain  (PS5 / PSVR2)
€13 - Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer  (PC)
€13 - Arsene Lupin - Once a Thief  (PC)
€12 - Dead Space Remake  (PC, Raytracing)
€12 - My Friendly Neighborhood  (PC)
€10 - The Talos Principle 2: Road to Elysium  (PC, Raytracing)
€10 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild  (Switch 2 upgrade)
€10 - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom  (Switch 2 upgrade)
€10 - Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga (PC, Raytracing)

My spending on gaming hardware was very low in 2025... I'm still perfectly happy with my current gaming PC and the Steam Deck OLED.

So I only got a Switch 2 for Nintendo exclusives and a travel case for it. No other accessories, since my Switch 1 Pro controller works fine with the Switch 2. Maybe I'll buy a microSD express card in 2026, but so far 100 GB of the internal storage are still free.

This is like asking a woman her age. How dare you. Mind your manners.

For gaming hardware, I bought a $2000 computer. For software, costs are low since I bought World of Warcraft for some of it.

Persona 3 Reload $50
Dynasty Warriors Origin $60
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii $60
Monster Hunter Wilds $70+PS PLUS $10
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt $20
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 $50
Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce $20
Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army $50
Digimon Survive $30
Trails Through Daybreak $50
Ghost of Yotei $70
Nioh 2 DLC $10
Triangle Strategy $20
WoW $30

So around $600. Add in tax, around $660.

Oops, I voted the wrong option— it slipped my mind that I spent $2,000+ on my PC alone. I chose $750-1,000, which is what I spent excluding my PC.
