Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Best Nintendo console + handheld experience

I think the best is...

NES + Gameboy 0 0%

SNES + Gameboy 6 12.00%

N64 + Gameboy (Colour) 2 4.00%

Gamecube + GBA 2 4.00%

Wii + DS 8 16.00%

Wii U + 3DS 2 4.00%

Switch 30 60.00%

Total:50

Whether it's the Switch as both at once, or a past handheld/console duo, what do you think is the best console+handheld experience Nintendo have offered to date, and what about your pick makes it worthy of the top spot?

Game Cube + GBA

Edit: haven't seen Switch option. Switch is the right choice

If we look at sales and library, the answer is probably Wii + DS.

But in my opinion, it's SNES + Gameboy, since SNES is my all time favorite console. And I like some Gameboy games too.

For me it's either the Switch or N64 and Game Boy Color.

It's kinda hard to compare gaming now to when we were kids. obviously now we are adults and have money to get what ever games we like and there are way more options for gaming now more then ever. In term of being blown away on Nintendo system nothing will touch N64 and how many goats it had that blew everything away for it's time.

Switch. It's the best system Nintendo ever made. I get the coolest retro games from SNES/Genesis/TG16/Saturn/DC/PS1/Arcade and more plus a lot of great new experiences I've had from Nintendo developed and published to 3rd party stuff. Even a healthy amount of mecha games and new Wonderboy games. It's almost a dream system (no I'm not doing a pun).

Modded switch?

No. A bunch of games from those systems have been released on Switch from digital to physical

Oh ok.

SNES and GB, although have to admit that I chose those mainly for nostalgia reasons. Nothing will ever come close to the SNES in my book. It just had so many legendary titles, it's crazy.

But If I try to be objective, it's probably the Switch. Just the fact that you have your home console and handheld in one device is a huge plus and the library is also quite insane and just continues to get better and better.
