I want to let you know, that a Kickstarter for the second entry of Pathfinder videogames is live:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/owlcatgames/pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous

If you don't know, Pathfinder is a Pen&Paper RPG by Paizo, based on the Dungeon&Dragons ruleset. Owlcat games had released a licenced game based on Pathfinder some time ago named Pathfinder: Kingmaker. The game is an isometric RPG in the style of Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape, Divine Divinity or Pillars of Eternity. Now it seems it was successful enough, because now a sequel is in the making with the Kickstarter-campaign.

The game is already financed and is now attacking stretch goals.

EDIT: Campaign has finished with 2 million $ from 35K supporters and a lot of financed stretch goals. Owlcat games is thanking the fans:

Ah, so that's why I got a mail from GOG that they had a special promotion for email subscribers where Pathfinder: Kingmaker imperial edition was 60% off. Trying to get more backers that way I guess...

Sadly, didn't get an occasion to play it yet.

So far the campaign is through 11 stretch goals and close to the 12th: Oread-race and spanish localization

Deserves more attention, Kingmaker is a fantastic and rather unique game for any fan of isometric RPG's from the golden era of the genre. Give it a go, it's super cheap on GOG most of the time!

Never played the first one.... couldnt even remember the name.
However I liked what I just saw in the trailer OP had linked.

Looks like a isometric CRPG, and from a quick overlook, the graphics are fine.
As long as the combat system is good and the story works, it should be a decent game.

*edit:

"The Aeon is a cosmic judge of balance—Judge Dredd meets Merlin on a cosmic scale. They can sense where the balance is broken and fix it, often punishing the perpetrator in the process. The cool thing about the Aeon is that they can detect places where the balance was greatly disturbed in the past and travel back in time to fix it. In doing so, they can change their current timeline, usually for the better.

The Trickster is a Loki-type character. They are here to have fun and play jokes on even the mightiest creatures. One of their late-game abilities is an understanding that their fate is determined by random chance, like the roll of a die of destiny. Armed with such knowledge, the Trickster can manipulate those die rolls in their favor. Every time the system rolls a natural 1 for them, the Trickster changes it into a natural 20. And players will be able to see it happening before their eyes.

Impulsive and irrepressible, Demons do as they please with no regard for the opinion of others. The Demon is the epitome of rage; a little push is all that is needed to break their self-control and turn them into a force to be feared—by enemies and friends alike. It is up to the Demon to decide whether to allow the inner beast to take control, or to fight it, chain it, force it into obedience."

^ this + Chris Avellone on narrative design, makes me wanna play this.

I didn't even know Chris Avellone was involved with the first game, but this time I noticed they presented him as part of the team, so I saw. And yeah, he was involved with many Infinity Engine games like Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale and some more modern stuff like Pillars of Eternity and Divinity Original Sin 2, so that is a good sign.
