1. I'm not applying to be a mod.  I'm not the one saying that if I was a mod, I'd be banning all the "fanboy trolls" who criticize VR. And what's been demonstrated in this thread and many others lately is that there are folks here who assume that if you don't like VR, then you MUST be a troll, because people who don't like VR simply cannot exist.  It's just do damn awesome.  THAT'S the kind of shit I don't want demonstrated from mods.

2. That's not an airtight way to determine someone's VR experience.  Not even close.  I'm surprised you'd even suggest that.

1. Sure you can't consider everyone that doesn't like something or speak against it to be trolls... still if you can verify that someone is a fanboy trolling VR then he is moderable.

2. If someone is being very negative about a product they swear to own, asking for proof is valid, one of the easiest to check is their trophies.

1. Sure, there are common sense ways to detect trolling.  My point still stands though.  There are individuals here in this very thread who should never be mods. Individuals who are very very biased for the VR tech.  So much so that their fairness would be non-existent.

2. So what about the people who just play on Vive/Oculus?  What about those who tried their friend's headset?  Moderate people for acting like dicks.  Don't moderate them because they're critical of VR, whether they've even tried it or not.  Members with hurt feelings and yelling "troll fanboy" all the time is not a reason for moderation of people who are expressing their opinions.

Cool story banned bro!

Should we start taking bets on how long until habam is permabanned?

Little story for all people who want more people to try out some device, platform, genre or hobby:

constantly missionizing and proselytizing other people is counterproductive. Let them make up their mind themselves instead of bombarding them with YOUR opinion, otherwise they will get annoyed of you very fast.

Yeah, im glad you set him straight and showed him the way. You probably think im joking, but at my school I get made fun of all the time for being a VRer. I live in Arizona so everyone is really Xbox over here. I keep telling them all about how much fun I've had with it and they just call me gay.

But then I found this new friend who was a VRer. We shared the experiences we had, how it affected us, and how it changed our gaming life. After being ignored for the millionth time at the lunch table about how awesome Spell Fighter was, me and him decided to make a club.

Now, we spread the joys of VR to others. We share the fun we have together at meetings. And if someone complains about it at the lunch table, we interrogate them about how much time they spent with VR. If someone complains online I send a link in our discord to set them straight. We wouldnt want negative opinions to be expressed, only HONEST AND REAL opinions. Im glad you safed a person, im trying to safe as many people as I can. I feel like I've really been reborn as a gamer. Oh VR club is so fun! I can't wait to attend our next sermon : )

Haa! That was lovely.

I almost ruined VR for a friend one night when I had friends in town for some drinking and movies/games. She was legitimately emotionally disturbed by a simple Zombie game, it almost made her cry (not an exaggeration). Felt quite bad about it, didn't take it seriously until she took off the headset.

I turned on that one which is basically three-dimensional paint (Tilt Brush) and she pretty much forgot where she was and constructed a grand campfire scene while we watched the progress on the laptop. It was pretty cool heh

When revealing VR to people, don't start them with Zombie shooters. Lesson learned.

Which TV do you have? It'd have to be a pretty insane picture to match a 930E.

Mine is Sony 65XBR855C, it is quite good but isn't a Z line.

The 855C? So a foreign 850C? Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the OLED in the VR looked better than that, but the 930E is in a different weight class than the 850C.

Lol i just asked that question too and his response got him banned so i would have to guess not long.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Usually, when i feel saving someone from hatin' VR, i tell them to wait for the 2nd or 3rd hardware generation.

Hunting Season is done...

This thread stumbled in VR.

Ok ok I had my fun. Apologies mods. I'll back down.
