Did you spend more on digital gaming than physical gaming?

I spent more on Digital gaming 21 34.43%

I spent more on physical gaming 40 65.57%

Total:61

I'm just hoping that consoles don't end up becoming digital only anytime soon, I'd probably lose some interest in gaming if that happens.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

With more and more great digital only titles on console it's no surprise. I bought games like Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Ether One, Outlast, Slender, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture etc. Plus free to play games (with pay models within) getting more popular along with DLC/microtransactions.

So, which brought in more revenue? Mobile or PC?

Interesting that the top 3 games are mostly played by people in Asia.

Great to see console digital growing at the fastest rate. It's going to be a major player by the end of the gen.

Also good to see pc still ahead of mobile.

You'd probably get over it. The experience is 99% the same.

So what is the digital market on console worth now?

I agree I'd rather not pay £50 per game where as now with physical with resale it costs me like £5 a game, Such a big difference.

Doesnt specifically mention it. They showcase info about specific top 10 games in PC and mobile along with the amount of growth and total worth in digital but not for specific consoles though.

Here's more information - I should post this in the OP too lol.

Interesting tid bit is that subscription gaming is falling - which would explain WoW's reduced numbers in the past couple of months to years.

None of the superdata links works for me though. It doesn't work when I google superdata and go to their home page (page doesn't load) :-3
The VGC article about this said digital console sales grew to 4$ Billion though, so I found my answer.

Those are all 3rd party console sales. Are they counting sales directly from console stores? I didn't read the article yet
