So I saw that new trailer yesterday and I just can't stop wanting to play it over again xD.

Great part of a game experience are the gameplay, the history, the graphics (how good/nice do the game look, not technical stuff), and a big share that people seems not to care THAT much (I know you care for it) is the music of the games; They are as important as the other things to the experience of gaming, and when the game is focused on bringing you to it's dimenson, the musics and sounds are really relevant in it's success of failure.

Anyway, I couldn't stop wanting to play the game and one of the biggest reasons was hear that intro music again in the trailer, it can bring me back memories of the game in a instant, and I was always this way... game musics are very important to me and to my gaming experience.
So here are the Full OST from The Last of Us so you can enjoy it if you want to get into the mood to the upcoming release of the remastered version of the game, or if you just wanna get some memories flooding your head again xD.

i have it on ps3 and i didnt get passed like two hours after the intro. i dont know what it is. i tried to like the game but couldnt. is it really that good?

i know everybody has their own taste in video games. i dont like games that kind of play themselves. i dont like playing through a game just to get to a cutscene so i can see more story. tell me, is what makes this game so great just the story? i do want to see the story, but i dont know if i can get through the boring gameplay to see it. would i be better off just looking it up on youtube? i might give it a try again this summer because of all this buzz, but i really dont know if i could get through it.

I'm speaking with all the truth: It's the best game I've played last gen.
It starts good with the infestation, then if start again really slow and I was uneasy while playing it for some time, but when Ellie appears... the game start to develops emotionally and start to grow in you bonds with the characters, it's really an amazing experience. By the end of the game I was in fact caring for the characters, like they were real, I was feeling like I was inside that experience.
But it's the story that make it great indeed, not watching it, developing it is what it's great.
The game have plenty of exploration and survival, some puzzles (really really easy) and progression into it. It's not a watch the story experience like Final Fantasy 13 (that had an amazing story too), but the gameplay don't change much from the moment you get to Ellie, so if you are not enjoying it after some hours after that you probably won't enjoy it anyway.
I don't recommend you to watch it on youtube, it won't give you a glimpse of the experience, and if tou turn to like it you will be already spoiled.
I highly recommend the game, but the focus is the story, the development of the bond between the characters and they survival. You choose if it fits you or don't.

Put the controller down and be amazed...that nothing will happen, the game does not move forward without the player so I don't know where you got that ridiculous observation. I will refrain from responding further to, what I can only assume is a passive aggressive jab at the game, based on your experience on a very short time with the game (which is fairly long for its genre, my first run took me 20 hours to beat, 85% completion, no guides) and agree to disagree.

OT: The trailer have not impressed me. I plan to get it, even though I have beaten the game 3 times (currently working on grounded mode) just not on day 1. Amazing soundtrack however, it literally gave me chills from time to time.

Definitely try it again. It starts off great and then it slows down quite a bit when you fast forward to the future. I'd say it takes a little over 2 hours for it to pick back up again. Probably around the 3 hour point is where the character development starts shining.

Yeah, the trailer itself was nothing new, well it's a remaster we couldn't expect that also xD
Was the music that turned me on again, and the reason why I created this thread, now I'm into the "listen great games music" and I'm hearing Shadow of the Colossus OST

Exactly.

Yes, I'm picking it up day one. Played it 6 months ago, and couldn't get into it at all. The gameplay was too repetitive, and I guess I nitpicked a lot because I expected much more from GOTY.
I sure hope that this time I'll be more open minded.

That's a good way to go for it. If you go with resistance to play it then it will not develop into you.
