Having cut scenes or not is design design on the part of the developer. This particular reasoning for not doing so is just simply so bad. It's like Nintendo keep on discovering more and more shocking things about a thing called "internet".

Sub Space Emissary in Brawl took up more then half the disk space (3.6 out of the 8 gigs on the disk for movies alone!) and was one of the biggest reason for the games delays. I liked Sub Space...the first time I did it, but the truth of the matter is that the majority of the hours I put into Smash games are multiplayer, and I would have rather have gotten some of the cut characters that have data on the disk (such as Roy and Mewtwo) then the story mode we ended up with.

It sounds like he was just saying that there would be no more CG Cutscenes for a story to go along with. He didn't mention there not being a mode that is like Subspace Emissary. (AKA, Adventure Mode.)

If there wasn't any Adventure Mode, I would be really disappointed.

anyways, no story =/= no adventure mode. so this will probably be like Melee's style, so don't get your panties in a twist

yeah, his reasoning is completely stupid...

for me is only on-line that matters

Dumb reason.

I'm going to say it again: it's a good thing if they are not focusing on an in depth story mode. I liked Melee's adventure mode fine, and with less focus on something like sub space maybe we will get things like individual break the targets back, which would be awesome. At the end of the day, if they spend 90% of their time on character roster, stages, items, and online modes I couldn't be happier.

I SO WANT THIS GAME! . I hated the subspace emissary, as long as there is a classic mode and the characters are fairly easy to get cool!

While I am more then happy with a lack of sub space style story...I would love MORE single player modes, and a beefed up version of Melee's adventure mode as a replacement. A boss rush with out the story mode would also be awesome.
