Oh, I'm glad you're not just being negationist about that. "Did she out right say she hates trans people" Well, she wrote and published a book with a story about "a man who dresses as a woman" to rape women, after her transphobic stances were already very well known to the public . At this point, she saying out loud that she is transphobic would be like Konami revealing that Eva's voice actor is the little mermaid. She paints trans women as some danger to "real women", I mean, that character she wrote says it all. How is that any different than saying that gay people are a danger to kids?? Actually, she would probably say that too if it wasn't a much less popular thing to say nowadays. |
Well after a quick look into, I don't see it. From wiki alone...
"she stated her view that "sex is real and has lived consequences", while additionally writing: "I respect every trans person’s right to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them."
I think she is just prioritising her radical feminist beliefs over trans validation. She's not transphobic in the true sense of the word. The worst I can find his her denying stuff that Trans people believe to be true which isn't transphobia, it's a mashing of ideological beliefs systems. It seems trans people hate her because she won't validate them as far as I can see and has choosen some poor words.
I return to my original point that her feminism and Trans activism don't mesh in the same way Transgenserism doesn't mesh with religious beliefs. I don't think she is some evil witch scheming against trans people again from what I can see. Everyone's world view is different an people interpret things in different ways and that's fine.
