I suppose I'd have to look into it more but not tonight. I seen some of the stuff she does for women's rights like helping rape shelters and what not, she can't be all that bad, transphobe or not. Did she out right say she hates trans people or is the issue the trans activism just doesn't gel with her version of feminism and she is caugjt between the two. You know who else are transphobes, every devout Muslim and Christian in the public eye but they just don't come out and say it to save face, you have to give it to her that she has the balls to come and fight for what she believes in. Alas, perhaps i'm playing devil's advocate cause I don't keep up with JK Rowling. |
Oh, I'm glad you're not just being negationist about that.
"Did she out right say she hates trans people"
Well, she wrote and published a book with a story about "a man who dresses as a woman" to rape women, after her transphobic stances were already very well known to the public . At this point, she saying out loud that she is transphobic would be like Konami revealing that Eva's voice actor is the little mermaid.
She paints trans women as some danger to "real women", I mean, that character she wrote says it all. How is that any different than saying that gay people are a danger to kids?? Actually, she would probably say that too if it wasn't a much less popular thing to say nowadays.
