As the Switch got more and more games of series I never played, I tried some of it. Valkyria Chronicles was right up my alley: nice presentation with graphic in the style of drawings, fantastical setting (although kinda inspired by the real world), turn-based strategy, light RPG elements. And it worked out well. This game works well to satisfy my craving for strategy. I usually prefer turn-based (I like more to ponder my decisions than think fast) and this is turn-based. But at the same time it uses some tricks to let it look more like a real-time game: while you make your move you hear randomly shootings in the distance, people yell, enemies open fire (although the rules decide if they hit or not), you can move freely. This is quite a nice mix and something I haven't seen in other games so far. Therefore it enters my TOP 50.
