The WiiU could pull off XCX without load-screens, the Switch has more power and - more important for this openness - more memory. This explanation is just wrong. You could talk about effects, but these are certainly not on a level that the Switch would be totally left out. No, this is a decision not based on technology, like most in game business, as it is a business, not research. Most of the time the decisions have to do with money, not tech.
EDIT: Totally forgot about Breath of the Wild. No loading screens. Big world. AI in the enemies. Physics in the world. If Switch can handle Breath of the Wild, it can handle MonHun World. Maybe it looks better, has higher resolutuion on PS4 and XBox. But no loading screens is really no excuse.
