Yes, FFVII is a huge game, and yes I absolutely love it. But I think that some rpg's can top this one. XIII is one of them IMO. I think this has the potential to be a triple A game: nice character, nice graphics, the story looks good and the combat system too.

Hah Hah Hah! I have swung my mighty hammer of judgement on FF7!! You couldn't see it, but I licked my finger and then poked my ass. It gave off steam.

To each their own. I tend not to have a fav of all time, I can never get myself to do it, but I do have one for the gen. FFVI is the best for its gen, FFVII was the best for its gen. I do like me some FFVIII but oi better than FFVII? Dont get me started on FFIX... FFX was epic, but I still think FFXII was best for PS2 gen. I have high hopes for FFXIII being the best for this gen.

Well Xenogears topped FFVII.. easily... but I'm actually still waiting to see another RPG like Chrono Trigger.. That is my top RPG.. everything is perfect.. gameplay, story, graphics, replay value.. don't get me wrong.. FFVII is good.. but Square already made better RPGs then FFVII...

FFVIII and FFX> FFVII IMO. And I also think that Fallout 3 is better than FFVII :)

My heart is a black hole of angst and hatred! Haha wow that sounded so emo.. Anyways no, FF7 just didn't really tickle my pickle. Maybe I'm broken.. My fav RPGs are like FF 6, 10, and 12. Tales of Symphonia, Phantasia, and the Abyss, Baten Kaitos 1 and 2, The World Ends With You. So on and soforth~

Yeah FFVII is near the bottom for me as well. It is still my most overhyped video game of all time. First Final Fantasy game that I played, at the time, that I didn't like. I'd take IV, VI, X, IX, V, III, I, and XII ahead of FFVII. VIII and X-2  were pretty awful but I don't despise them near as much as VII.
