I still need to see the last one.

Do ya'll think this will fix everything or people will still be mad at where star wars has gone?

It’s the internet. People will be pissed no matter what. No matter how the story ends, there will be neckbeards angry that the savior is a woman.

I really can't stand that cop out defense. As an older poster,sci-fi fan, and black man what drew me to the genre was how open the community was. This never was issue before. It seems like the go to defense when a property starring a woman is disliked. Same case if a character black, latino, or asian. The issue most Star Wars fans have with the sequel trilogy is that they've actively crapped on the older characters. People talk out of both sides of their mouth on the issue. I mean the "neckbeards hate women" yet one of most popular recent characters in Star Wars is Ahsoka Tano.

@spurgeonryan Do yourself a favor. Don't watch The Last Jedi. The movie manage sap most of my interest in Star Wars. From what I've seen of Rise of Skywalker, JJ seems to be undoing as much of Rian Johnson's abomination of a film as possible. If you are absolutely insistent on seeing it. There is a fan edit that makes it watchable.

Uh, my post didn’t say no one could have valid reasons for disliking the movie. Settle down.

I hear loads of praise for Ahsoka Tano.

I'm super excited. I had chill bumps watching this. I already bought my tickets for opening weekend. I'm going to see a Thursday night showing, and again on Saturday with some friends. I've enjoyed the Disney-era films far more than the prequels, and I went to see the prequels multiple times in theaters. I saw TFA and TLJ three times a piece and Rogue One and Solo twice a piece. I haven't been disappointed yet. This will be one hell of a way to close out the decade for me.

Looking forward to The Rise of Skywalker as well. :)

I'm telling y'all right now. She is the reincarnation of Anakin Skywalker.

I'll take your word for it then, I only know her from the Clone Wars animated film and she was a little shit in that film. I didnt watch the tv series that followed it, so maybe her character improved a lot.
