I really can't stand that cop out defense. As an older poster,sci-fi fan, and black man what drew me to the genre was how open the community was. This never was issue before. The movie manage sap most of my interest in Star Wars. From what I've seen of Rise of Skywalker, JJ seems to be undoing as much of Rian Johnson's abomination of a film as possible.
