Tumblr Is Tumbling Past the Point of No Return

Forums - General Discussion - Tumblr Is Tumbling Past the Point of No Return

Tumblr has banned all NSFW content, which is what made up most of it's userbase, and it's algorithm is only making things worse.

Now it's getting to the point that anything, and I mean ANYTHING, is being falsely flagged as pornography, hate speech, etc. Tumblr is basically a sinking ship, and with similar bullshit happening on DeviantArt and maybe YouTube, where are the artists of ACTUAL NSFW stuff gonna go?

All this because Tumblr is run by complete idiots who don't give a flying fuck about their site's userbase.

Actually I'd like to think you DO need to link something, since I for one have no idea what you're talking about without a source.

Basically they banned NSFW content (which was a big part of the site), and it seems like their algorithm has gone mad with power and is taking tons of SFW content down.

This is fucked up. Tumblr has the best collection of fap material.

Tumblr overnight changed their whole terms of service that includes the removal and ban of nsfw content of any kind which just so happens to generate 90% of their traffic the second problem is rather than carefully remove content they've employed some lazy algorithm that is flagging and blocking almost every post and I mean even the sfw ones from simple text to even pictures of a chair, to give you an example the very post from Tumblr themselves declaring the changes got flagged and blocked when it was reposted by people.

Won't be long before it's forced to shut down because of having almost no traffic.

So basically it'll be another Pinterest, yawn

I had no idea that so many people used Tumblr for sex stuff. Only today did I learn that a lot of sex workers used it for their business. What in the world? Why? Is everything on the internet related to sex? (Except this site)
