Even as this is a joke mirror thread, it's very interesting how different the reaction is here compared to the Sony censorship hate bandwagon.
Not that I expected any different tho, lol.

Its different though. If Sony was using a character from a T or M rated game in their E rated game. Changing the appearance of the character would be understandable. Its not really censorship. They are also going for a different group of gamers.

Ya, also the whole censor thing is not issue in the regards of a company putting restrictions on their own game. Like no one is complaining Last of Us in Japan has blood taken out to fit more with the norm of that society. The censor issue, is Sony America forcing their own American standards onto Third Party Japanese games released in Japan.

Nope, she gets to keep all her exposed skin glory!

That's just weird... Mythra but not Pyra.

I'd guess it's because they're only Spirits, and so their only appearance in the game (to my understanding) is their default artwork. Pyra is quite chesty, but she doesn't show as much skin as Mythra on the front side.

NNID: Zephyr25 / PSN: Zephyr--25 / Switch: SW-4450-3680-7334

They also got the main artist of XC2 to design the "Massive Melee Mythra" (official in-game name) costume for the Smash spirit and game.

Not really the same situation at all. Nintendo don't really have a choice but to censor this one artwork design because it's an 'E' rated family-friendly party fighter. If it was rated 'T' with a older target audience like an actual Xenoblade game, Nintendo wouldn't have to touch it as they won't mind it got a higher rating cause it's not aimed at children unlike Smash.

Sony on the other hand enforce their own changes and rules on third party games and developers past what the official video game rating boards already approve and allow.

Well Fire Emblem: Fates had a T rating, but was still hit with censorship for swimsuits and other things. Same thing for FE: Awakening. At least in America.

Anyway, the black leggings are kinda distracting to me, but you'll probably get used to it.
Not a fan of these type of changes, but hey. I've seen worse.

Guess America's ESRB rating is different in terms of requirements of what can be acceptable in a particular rating compared to the CERO rating in Japan? Who knows.
