Forums - Gaming Discussion - Battlefield V Delayed to November 20th

I just found out this game has a level taking place in my city. And it’s, going by art and the trailer, even a decently accurate (ignoring the combat itself) depiction even! I might have to stretch my rule a little and get this game when I can find it used for under €10, just to satisfy curiosity.

Battlefield really messed up this year. Really interested to see how this game will sell.

so it was delayed due to preorders being low. a completed game... but really, what will that release date change? instead of competing with CoD and RDR, it now has to compete with Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Fallout 76, Lets Go Pikachu + Eevee, and of course Super Smash Bros Ultimate. it doesnt seem like that really solved anything.

Good decision.

I pointed out in the preorder thread that it had the worst possible release date, now it's only competition after launch seems to be Just Cause 4 and Darksiders 3, which will be minor bumps in the road.

This game needs to die

I'm not gonna ever buy the game myself after the things they have said, but this is a smart move. GIve your game some breathing a fair distance away COD and RDR, while giving a month extra development time to add requested featured/have a more complete game at launch. But at the same time, arriving just in time to not miss black friday.

Right. This move seems like a no-brainer to me.   I think they have a whole lot the gate, and almost literally nothing to lose. And, though I know that no be likes to wait, I think we all win if the game is better, and presume be an extra month of development time will help in that regard.  I don't even care about the game, but I think better quality games in general helped push everybody forward. So even I feel like a winner.
