Yeah, nope again pretty much all spin off movies make  less money then the main movies.  And Solo isn't the most popular Star Wars character that would be either Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker.  Heck, even Yoda is more popular then Han Solo.

Yeah, nope never heard of digital spy.  IGN made a list of top 100 Star Wars charters of all time and Vader was at the top.  Also just because he is a popular character doesn't mean he deserves his own movie.  The Fonz was by far the most popular character on Happy Days and Urkel was by far the most popular charter on Family Matter and neither one of those got their own show.

I only watched two or three episodes and much of the acting seemed forced or somehow off. I will not miss it. Sad to hear Last Man on Earth, The Mick and especially Brooklyn Nine-Nine got canned though. Last Man was OK. The Mick helped fill in between seasons of It's always Sunny. As for the Nine-Nine I really like Terry Crews & Adam Samberg and really enjoyed the rest of the cast with the exception of Chelsea Peretti.

Back to the OP I never would have guessed Jarrett as being African-American looking at her pictures.

She's not. She's Iranian. Rule of thumb though, if you are white and you comment on a minorities look you are automatically deemed racist.

She was born in Iran to American parents.  Her dad looks African-American her mother like her is harder to tell.

"Her father, a pathologist and geneticist, ran a hospital for children in Shiraz in 1956 as part of a program where American physicians and agricultural experts sought to help in the health and farming efforts of developing countries. When she was five years old, the family moved to London for a year, later moving to Chicago in 1963."

She is an American mutt like many of us here. African-American, smaller amounts of Creole [French and African], Scottish, and Native American

A DNA test taken by the show Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. (2014) stated that Valerie’s genetic ancestry is:

*49% European
——–approx. *28% Irish and Scottish
——–*16% Scandinavia
——–*3% Western Europe
——–*2% Ashkenazi Jewish
*46% Sub-Saharan African
——–*24% Nigeria
——–*8% Congo
——–*6% Ivory Coast and Ghana
——–*5% Senegal
——–*2% Southeastern Bantu
——–*1% Benin and Togo
*5% Native American

She also showed her impeccable conspiracy theory skills at the same time, accusing Chelsea Clinton of being married to the nephew of George Soros. Spoiler alert; she's not.

What a shame, we lost another one of our time's great minds. She could have done a lot of good on Twitter and Facebook, spreading truth. You haters just don't understand her genius.

I hope you are being sarcastic with that last sentence like someone already mentioned earlier she has been having mental issues for years and if you do a bit of research its actually most of her live since she suffered sever brain damage from a accident that occurred when she was only 16.

I can't believe she even thought that was okay to say about someone...

The only reason I say it was seen as a more right leaning show is because Roseanne herself was right leaning like it was adding something to the show. I'm aware it made fun of both sides, but something like this equates to Lando being a pansexual, it isn't bad per say, but in reality it adds next to little substance about the characters and show itself which makes it come off as forced.

They also talk about how Barr's kids are all leftist, which causes a lot of tendon in the family (something they emulate in the show). So no, it's not like saying Lando is pan, because they don't also present a counter argument or counterpoint.

I don't want to get into a pointless argument over a show I've never bothered seeing, so I'll be honest and say I know next to nothing about the show itself and you most likely know more than I do.

I agree. The "Shes a comedian" doesn't really work in this case. Im usually on the comedians side because I get the joke, but this was just an awful thing to say.

Another case where right to consequence successfully prevailed. I believe that anyone has the right to say whatever they want, but in cases such as this, there are consequences to words. Never watched Roseanne or its revival, so I wont really miss it. I don't need politics catered to me in reality shows, whether it's left or right wing, so the idea that Roseanne appeals to right wingers doesn't make me anymore interested in it. I just want a show that has a great cast and world that doesn't talk down to me for my beliefs.

That being said, I need a suggestion for what I should watch next. I've always been interested in Atlanta, but seeing Animal Kingdom promos on TNT during the playoffs has me unsure on which of these two I should watch next. Does anyone watch either one of these two, and are they good?

Those two shows are two completely different genres so without even listening to suggestions I would just go for the genre you like better.

While you can assume what she meant, the fact of the matter is at best she said it indirectly. Muslim Brotherhood is quite clear, but Planet of the Apes isn't. If you know about the franchise, it's about apes vs humans. Everybody jumped to the same conclusion instantly though. Now I'm not saying that what she said was ok, or that she couldn't be indirectly referring to the ape part of the franchise, but it just goes to show how indirect you can be when speaking and have it turned into whatever people want it to mean.

While she does say some outlandish stuff, she had to know how people would take this in general and how the SJW's and media would aggressively react. Assuming her career would be completely unaffected seems unlikely. I wonder if she or the cast was having problems with ABC and wanted out but couldn't, so she sabotaged herself to do so. Last Man Standing was sold off to Fox by ABC, so it wouldn't be a shock to see the same thing happen here.

You might want to look Rogue one numbers. Sure, they are smaller but it was nobody characters that no one gave a shit about. Solo is literally the most popular character in the most popular movie franchise. They expected similar numbers or better. Hell, their original projection even says so

The point stands that Solo is a more popular character than the "many Mothans who died for this information".
