HeartGold and SOul Silver, best pokemon remakes, probably not the best overall remake but the best pokemon one for sure.

I do not usually advocate for speaking on the behalf of other people, although, in this circumstance, I believe that stating Guru's response here is practically everyone's response to your post. 

There are times when sharing one's opinion is essential to the discussion, however, your opinion is completely irrelevant to the context of this thread. The thread does not ask whether you like remakes or not. It asks what your favourite remake is. Your opinion does nothing for this thread other than derail it with your pessimistic statements. Go outside. Have fun. Stop reacting negatively to everything that you see. 


On topic: I voted Majora's Mask 3D. 

Of the one's where I've played both, probably OoT 3D.

WWHD isn't a remake, it's a remaster with slight mechanical tweaks. While I like HGSS more than OoT 3D, it's an objectively less faithful remake. SR is an atrocious remake. ZM is honestly a better remake than I think I give it credit for, but perhaps a less faithful remake than people give it credit for tonally and aesthetically. MK8DX is no remake, it's a port.

While I do think that OoT is an overrated game, I think it's remake is the perfect example of how to change a game just enough to be modernized both mechanically and aesthetically while preserving and respecting the original intent, something I don't think most of the games on that list do. Even HGSS, which is my third favorite Pokemon game-borderline tied for second, doesn't really have reverence for the tone or aesthetic for the games and era it's remaking. If it did, the art would look more washed out and the aesthetic specifically bulky and 90s. Which, again, is probable fine since I like them more than they're originals, but I'd probably like them that much more with that reverence for the source material.

I voted "none". There was no option so I had to post it. Simple as that.

No offense, but i really think you're to young to realisze how great Ocarina of Time really was at it's time. Even compared to PC-games of that time. It was a real milestone in many ways at it's time.

Today it's at least very playable. While most 3D games of that era feel like crap today.

It's a tough choice between OoT 3D and WWHD... OoT was/is/always will be my all time favourite game, so the remaster to me was just an aesthetic upgrade. Still the preferred version to play (on 3DS). But WWHD improved on a few major things that absolutely drove me crazy on the gamecube. Wind Waker went from a decent game to one of my favourite games just because of the improvements with the remaster... I guess I will have to go with Wind Waker HD!
