You think that given that this game uses Norse mythology, that they could have come up with something much better. Hell, even a generic God of War logo slapped onto the console would have been superior to whatever the fuck this is.

They could've just made the middle layer red on a black console to symbolize Kratos and it would've been subtle but cool, this is just a mess.

Yeah, if I didn't see the box art I wouldn't have guessed that this is a God of War design. Not a big fan of this design choice.

I love this console and will be looking to pick up one.

I like the runes, I wonder if any of them are real. I suppose it has the bluetooth one since the PS4 uses bluetooth but they'll all have that one. Anyway it is definitely distinctive. Not my favourite PS4 but it's ok.

I don't think the console is that ugly in particular. It is one of those that look better in person i would assume (i don't own it).
But i think what makes this console 'less' appealing to someone like me is a symptom of the underlying design philosophy. I don't like the straight clean cut lines on both the console and the menus in the game. It slightly takes me out of the experience. Give me some texture dammit.

Actually I'll be taking it back since I was able to fix the blu-ray drive on my regular PS4. I still love the Battlefront one I have. Vader on a field of "star wars". Too bad the kids have fingered the absolute shit out of the thing.
