But its not about content here, its about playing a specific game in vr or in 4k if both is possible (like with skyrim or resident evil 7)

VR is undercooked. 4K is just shaper resolution. Neither matter compared to gameplay.

many stuff in terms of gameplay isnt possible without vr (eg I expect you to die, Job Simulator, ...)

Only a fraction of games, movies and TV shows support 4K. Most games, movies and TV shows will look the same or almost the same on a FullHD TV.

Tough. Maybe I need to take time to watch the video. Anything 720p and above is good enough for me. 4K is nice but not a necessity for my enjoyment.

VR is super immersive but I still do most of my gaming from a TV screen.

In a virtual cinema? Meh. I rather watch tv the normal way with my gf and play games on a tv. 4K is best for that. Objectively and with no cherry picked goal posts, it is better than VR. VR is a tech that centers around interactivity and with certain games, it enhances immer a great deal. When VR becomes something like SAO, it will beat way to play a game or watch a movie.

I wasn't talking about just 4K content. It functions as a tv.

VR > 4k. 4K is just eye candy, VR actually offers a difference experience.

4K is a subtle upgrade. VR is a different, next level experience. But yeah, 4K VR will be the real game changer.

But most people already have a TV for the non-4K content.
