It's doing about as well as the PS4's in its first holiday after launch.

Which is indeed terrible, we all know the PS4 flopped hard.

PS4 did about 5.3m in its first holiday after launch. You really think the Switch can match that?

DS did 5.9M, Wii did 6.0M, and 3DS did 6.6M in their first holidays after launch. How is it in any way unreasonable for Switch to match 5.3M?

Well, this shows games like cod and fifa do wonders for hardware for market leaders too. I remember people saying both wouldn't have any effect as "anyone who wanted cod/fifa would already have a ps4"

This week was huge and the fifa week was too, casual and core gamers that had old consoles wait for these games to upgrade/jump in, sony was smart to get these marketing rights

Which makes it even funnier that people are arguing with me about how big of system sellers these two franchises are in the NPD thread.

the noticeable here is that the Ps4 was at $399 and the other 3 are/were at $299 or less in their first holiday after lunch, so yeah is something achievable to the Switch.

well, Nintendo said they are shipping 10 million switches through Q3+Q4 2017.

Putting 3 Million on Q4, we have 7 Million for the Q3, minus 1 million in october, 6M seems to be more or less what they expect for november/december.

I think this week shows how MS letting go activision with their COD deal is one of the biggest mistakes they’ve made this gen.

Monster week for PS4. Any idea what GT sport launch week numbers were

Yes they are indeed huge sellers! But I thought the discussion was about them being like BOTW big or SMO big because BOTW had like over 1 100% attach rate....THAT is another level of big lol. But no one would ever deny that COD and FIFA are huge system sellers on PS$....I hope they wouldn't anyway....that would be crazy lol.

It's great, it shows Nintendo saying and not pushing that it's a replacement for the 3DS is working and they should keep it that way 100%.
