You'd have to be deranged to choose x1x imo

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Since both are dynamic 4K systems, is just go with the Pro due to the games lineup and lower costs. Granted, I already have one, but if I didn’t and was choosing right now, that’d be my logic.

Yeah, really an easy question for me, I don't have a 4K tv/monitor yet(and not for a long time too), and exclusives are what really drives me to buy a console as I can already play 3rd party titles on my PC no problem, so a PS4 is the best bet for me right now.

Nintendo Switch FC: SW-6340-7643-4233 aka Renji

Steam: Lee Roid

After the disappointing MS has shown their consoles for the last 6 or so years I really don’t see how they’d warrant to shell out another 500 for a console that will be obsolete in 2 years time anyway.
That said I game on PC and the PS4 complements it perfectly, so for me it’s not really a question anyway.

If anyone is interested in buying an X1X I’d recommend waiting another year or so if or until more software comes around...it’ll most likely drop to 350,- by next Christmas anyway.

If the X1X is worth it to someone whose previously expressed apathy to image quality/graphics (such as yourself), someone that already cared about those things is likley to value a Pro to a comparable degree. Especially since they're paying quite a bit less. I know I've been quite happy with the Pro. Not amazed, but it's been worth the entry price.

The dynamic obviously further shifts if you're dealing with someone that doesn't own a PS4 at all.

Apathy to image quality/graphics is not accurate at all. Apathy to the blown out of proportions difference between Xbone and PS4 that we saw a million threads about at launch and for awhile after, sure. And the PS4 to Pro represents that same small leap in quality. Fortunately the Scorpio is a massive upgrade to the Xbone, and also has lots of features built in that spruce games up even better. Some of the BC games for example look amazing, as already mentioned in the thread. Plus super sampling support built right in, yowza. That one is less of a draw for me personally because I am waiting to replace the 4k TV my son broke before buying a Scorpio.

The dynamic obviously further shifts if you’re dealing with someone that already owns a PS4 and Xbone and prefers the userface, network, and controller of Xbone.

It was only last year that you claimed you "Could not care less about resolution.". Apathy seems like a reasonable description of that, at least as far as image quality goes (the primary focus of the X1X's power).

I'm not going to comment on 30-40% and 130% being equally small

I think what makes a console is games, so whatever suits each individual. I'd choose the PS4Pro because I prefer PS4 catalogue to the XBOne.

Why? The X1X offers the best multi-plat experience in the console space (outside of subjective elements like controllers, ecosystem, etc).

Power isn't everything.
