WTF Splatoon 2 opening didn't manage to beat the third week of Crash Bandicoot??? That'sabsolutely insane, there is no way you people can downplay this, Splatoon has been crashed in the UK!!!

Where are all the people who said that the Crash Bandicoot Remake would be a flop? XD

Go back to your original post and read the post above it. The one that says Splatoon 2 has opened with strong sales and narrowly missed out on top spot whilst outperforming the original. Nintendo have got a lot to do to win back the UK gamers, but seeing Switch games in the top 10 is small steps on the road to recovery. You could probably acknowledge this if you take off your Sony blinkers once in a while.

Never said that Splatoon 2 underperformed.
I only said that Crash Bandicoot is doing fantastic in the UK and that Crash Bandicoot third week > Splatoon first week.
Maybe you could acknowledge that I never said anything negative about Splatoon 2 sales if you take your Nintendo blinkers off?

It is nice, when Switch has only around 200k instal base in UK while PS4 and XB1 have instal base of few milions each.

You always urge the same argument, don't you?
Yep, you're right that the Switch install base is smaller than the PS4 / Xbox One install base but you should also consider that the Switch only has 3-4 big games available right now while on the other side PS4 / Xbox One have dozens available games. At the moment there is a much bigger diversity on the PS4 / Xbox One. Just look at the PS4 line-up. So many big games coming up every month, it is nearly impossible to keep up with them as a PS4 player. For example imagine a 4.5M install base for PS4 in the UK, 200k of them would buy game X, 300k of them would buy game Y, 500k of them would buy game Z. Thisdiversity is the big difference between PS4 and Switch. With the lack of big games on Switch, a lot of Switch owners will have to buy Splatoon 2 to have a game to play on the Switch. That's not the case with the PS4 install base.

You really need to calm down, we dont know how much exactly Crash Bandicoot or Splatoon 2 sold this week, fact that Crash sold better than Splatoon doenst mean one crached, espacily when Switch has still very low instal base in UK, probably not bigger than around 200k while PS4 has instal base of few millions, so in order that some Switch game be number one need to have very strong attach rate.

Also this is a offical: "Splatoon 2’ outperforms the original becoming the 3rd biggest ever Switch launch, behind Zelda and Mario".

LOL, talking about ignoring reality.

" No way you people can downplay this, Splatoon has been crashed in the UK" That sounds pretty negative to me. I like to see it as Crash has sold great and for Splatoon 2 to get very close to surpassing it is great also. Maybe you meant it as a joke?

We are comparing the third week of Crash Bandicoot with the first week of Splatoon 2, and if a third week of a game is bigger than the first week of an other game I'd would consider this as really impressive. I already tried to explain in my second post why install base is not the main reason Crash Bandicoot outsold Splatoon 2. And being the 3rd biggest Switch launch ever is not that impressive imo. Switch is not even half-year old, there haven't been much big game releases for it yet.

Splatoon has been crashed in the UK = Crash Bandicoot > Splatoon
Nothing more.

Splatoon is #1 on the revenue chart.

Zelda and Mario Kart keep jumping back into the top 10 whenever Switch gets stock. They'll drop again next week and keep dropping until new stock arrives.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

Spla2n didn't flop. And it didn't do great either.
Reminder that Crash became the best selling game of the year at First Week.

Edit: k, I remembered things wrong. Crash was just the fastest selling exclusive of the year.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Crash Bandicoot sold in 3. week better than Splatoon 2 in its 1st, but that doesn't mean that Splatoon 2 "crashed".

Crash is selling great in any case, but of course that Splatoon 2 would sell much better than it is if install base is bigger, and Switch instal base in UK is currently just around 200k.

Also few points, Crash is $40 game while Splatoon 2 is $60, and we have infos that last week Crash had stock issues and that this week shipments for game are bigger.

You cant spin this, you first said "that Splatoon 2 crashed", and then you said that you didn't said "anything negative about Splatoon 2 sales". You really don't know what are you saying.

ahh, the usual "UK has bad taste" bullshit is back

Persona 5 got to #1 in the UK, did it not? Perhaps stop finding excuses for why your favourite game doesn't get to #1

UK seems to have a bit differing platform preferences. So it is more dependant on platform than 'good' or 'bad' taste.
